Dragon Quest X Offline Gets Delayed Into 2022

Square Enix has announced a delay for the upcoming Dragon Quest X Offline. The game will now release sometime in the summer of 2022 in Japan, thwarting its previously planned February launch.

It has not been revealed whether or not the game will find its way to western audiences. According to Dragon Quest X Offline Producer, Takuma Shiraishi, the RPG needed extra time for polishing. While players will have to wait a while longer now, it was also announced that the DLC was delayed.

Unlike many of the other entries in the series, Dragon Quest X has not managed to make it to players in the west. The original Dragon Quest X first appeared on the Wii back in 2012. Later on, the MMORPG would find its way to other systems, like PC (Windows), Switch, and PlayStation. Later on, it also appeared on mobile platforms and 3DS. In the years since, players on many platforms have ventured into the land of Astoltia and set out on an epic adventure.

Many players are hoping its offline counterpart will release in the west. Unfortunately, the Dragon Quest X Offline delay means everyone will have to wait a bit longer.
