According to a reveal by Bandai Namco, DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will bring in arcs from Dragon Ball Super. The DLC is called “A New Power Awakens,” and it covers Goku obtaining the Super Saiyan God transformation. According to the announcement, this is only Part 1 of “A New Power Awakens”; the second part will release later this year. Additionally, the new DLC adds a fight with Beerus and training with Whis. Players will be able to use the Super Saiyan God transformation in the main storyline, which could make past fights a complete cakewalk.

It remains to be seen what Part 2 will entail or when it will be released. It can be inferred that Part 2 will cover the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. For fans of Dragon Ball Super, this is worthwhile addition that gives new life to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
