Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Trailer reaches it’s Final Form

Dragon Ball Xenoverse Two is the sequel to the popular first game in the series. Here we will be having a look at the trailer which shows off new transformations and various abilities that we will be able to obtain.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse was well received by both fans and critics however it was quite clear that the game was unfinished and lacked many qualities that Dragon Ball fans love. Transformations were lacking, and the ones that did exist weren’t very impressive, the Tournament Mode wasn’t unlocked until a year after the games release and the hub world was bland and arduous to explore. Despite all this the game was praised for it’s unique take on the Dragon Ball universe, and the fluid combat system that the game employed. Without further a due let’s dive right into it.

Let's talk about the good stuff

So now each race has a transformation, this is definitely the best part of this trailer and possibly this game, just for the sheer fact that now there will be a reason not to play as a Saiyan. The first transformation we see is the Namekian transformation, this is clearly taking a cue from the movies as it is identical to Lord Slugs transformation in one of the earlier DBZ movies. It shows the Namekian turn giant, performing moves like squeezing the enemy and slamming a massive green hand down on to them. After this we get a glimpse at the Frieza race’s final form, in all honesty I’m a little disappointed. The form is akin to that of Friezas in the Movie Resurrection Of F, wherein parts of him become golden and shiny. While this does look pleasing to the eye due to the games fantastic visual design, i was hoping for a transformation similar to Friezas first 4 forms. The Majins alternate form is also lackluster as it is pretty much just Kid Buu and nothing more. Saiyans and Humans will now get a SSJ3 (Super Saiyan 3) form which is very exciting indeed, I always wanted to make my eyebrows dissappear at will.

Last tidbits

All in all this was a good trailer, it was fast paced and the game definitely looks like it will be finished. We also got a peek at some new arenas like Hell from Fusion Reborn. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One October 25th in North America and October 28th in Europe.
