Disney has announced their very first Disney and Marvel games showcase. Featuring new game announcements from properties like Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and more. The showcase will coincide with the numerous film, television and theme park announcements during the D23 Expo on September 9.
In the announcement, Disney has promised further updates on upcoming and released games including Marvel’s Midnight suns, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Disney’s Dreamlight Valley. They have also teased a sneak peek from former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig’s studio, Skydance New Media on their upcoming Marvel ensemble game.
Studios attending the showcase are Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games and 20th Century Games. It’s unknown if other already announced games are featured beyond the four games above. However, there are more games based on Disney-owned properties in the works. These include Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spiderman 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine, Bethesda’s untitled Indiana Jones game and the numerous Star Wars games coming from studios Ubisoft, Respawn Entertainment, Aspyr and Quantic Dream.
