Announced during The Game Awards 2020, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is the definitive edition of the game, bringing new quests, new areas, and full voice-acting to the city of Revachol. The development team has even included full control customization, as a special treat.
iam8bit will be releasing a special collector’s edition, which we’ll detail below, and developers ZA/UM has launched a merch store filled with themed shirts, hats, pin sets, and tote bags, for the stylish fans.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will be digitally releasing in March 2021 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as well as on Steam, GOG, iOS, Epic Games Store, and Google Stadia. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch platforms in Summer 2021.
For the diehard fans who might want a bit more out of their purchase, iam8bit is putting together a physical collector’s edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch. Priced at $249.99, shipping is still to be determined, but they’re expecting some time in 2021.
Included inside the huge box will be a physical edition of the game, a hand-painted ‘Mind Totem’ vinyl sculpture, a 190-page hardbound art book, and a fabric map of Martinaise. Alongside that, the art production company is putting together the vinyl soundtrack, with two versions to satisfy your tastes.
The smaller Open Edition vinyl is a 3-LP set in standard packaging, while the Limited Edition features an origami packaging that unfolds to reveal a larger piece of artwork (and is restricted to only 2000 copies). Either way, at 3-LPs, you’ll have plenty of tracks to spin when they release in Q2 2021.
