Diablo IV has officially been revealed during the first day of BlizzCon 2019, confirming the information that leaked days before. It was speculated since 2018 that Diablo IV was going to be announced during last year’s BlizzCon, but Diablo Immortal was announced in its place.
Now, we will finally return to Sanctuary, decades after the events of the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo III, and with all the destruction that came from these events. With Heaven gates locked after Diablo took the battle to it, humanity has suffered greatly.
Diablo IV is said to be the title that will go back to the gameplay and mechanics that made Diablo II the most popular title in the franchise. It will have a non-linear story and will, of course, retain its classic isometric point of view.
Players will be able, as usual, to play the story in solo mode or cooperative mode and even a PvP mode. The aesthetics of the game point toward an even more dark and grim ambient, following the steps of Diablo II, and the audience seemed to receive it well.
