Death Stranding To Skip E3 2017
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima just posted on his twitter page that his upcoming game Death Stranding will skip E3 2017. The reason provided was as follows,

Apologies to our fans, Death Stranding will not be @ E3 as we are fully focused on development. Pls see me with @geoffkeighley on 6/14!

Similar to what YS Net said about Shenmue III, it looks like Kojima Productions doesn't have a minute to spare as they are concentrated solely on game development. Although disappointing news for many I'm sure, this announcement prior to the press conferences can help gamers keep their expectation in check. Now, nobody can be disappointed after the show if Death Stranding was not featured at Sony's E3 presser since we were already told it was not going to be a part of it.

Death Stranding is going to be an open world action game of some sort. The game will feature actors Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and movie director Guillermo del Toro. All three will be featured inside the game through motion capture. The game is also set to have some form of multiplayer content. However, story will be a big focus for the game as Hideo Kojima games have all been very narrative-focused. It is clear by now that the game will be a PS4 exclusive and is using the Decima engine created by Guerrilla Games. As for the release date, the game skipping this year's E3 can only mean that the release is quite far away still.
