Death Stranding Drops on to Xbox Game Pass

In a surprise announcement, Hideo Kojima's divisive supernatural action game Death Stranding hops over to Xbox Game Pass for PC. Subscribers will be able to deliver packages as Norman Reedus for the first time under the Microsoft umbrella.

This was announced by global publisher 505 Games who have helped port over the former PlayStation exclusive to Steam. Hideo Kojima’s critically acclaimed and genre-defying epic will land under the Microsoft umbrella for the first time on August 23.

However, to clarify, this will only be the original version of Death Stranding and not Death Stranding Director’s Cut. This will only be available for all subscribers of the PC version of Xbox Game Pass.

Death Stranding stars Norman Reedus as Sam “Porter” Bridges, who traverses the remnants of a plagued America by a series of supernatural phenomenons. Death Stranding comes with a unique Social Strand System that lets players share resources to improve their surroundings as well as the worlds of other players. Lastly, players can construct zip lines, highways, safehouses and other structures to make the terrain more easily traversable for you and other players.
