DayZ has finally released a major news update stating that it's still coming to consoles yesterday. Bohemia Interactive said that the game will be coming to Xbox One in addition to its previously announced PS4 version.
Mostly every person who has played or have been interested in the survivalist type game have heard of DayZ. The updates that the developers have been releasing have been minuscule in comparison to a game like H1Z1 or Rust, so why the small updates? The reason may be that they release small status reports/updates to appease to the smaller DayZ community.
At first one would think that this would delay DayZ and the development of it on PC. Bohemia Interactive specifically stated that 99% of all sources are still going to be focused towards the PC version, after all. The real question, though, is how long will it take for a console version of this game to be released if only 1% of their "resources" are developing this game.
One way to look at this is as a hope of light for the DayZ community. This could be a turning point for Bohemia Interactive in which they speed up their efforts for maximum profit for all the gaming systems.
