Days Gone hasn't been released, and yet developer Bend Studios has already confirmed that there will be free DLC coming to the game. Announced on the official PlayStation Blog, Days Gone will add a new "Survival" difficulty option in June. This mode will prevent players from using fast travel and Survival Vision, a mode that will allow players to see enemies and items like Batman's Detective Vision in the Arkham series. Along with the following features, Survival Mode will also have "an immersive HUD that removes maps and indicators from the gameplay screen."
"Every tweak and change made is designed to further immerse players and ratchet up the tension to make this the definitive survival experience," says Days Gone's director, Jeff Ross, on the post.
On top of Survival Mode, Days Gone will also be getting weekly challenges, which will either focus on combat, using your bike or will involve the Horde. More details about these activities will be coming at a later date.
Days Gone is set for release on April 26th.
