Dark Souls III, the third installment in a series known for its punishing challenges and rewarding progression, has had another trailer for the upcoming Ashes of Ariandel DLC released. The trailer did not go over much more of what to expect from this new area known as Ariandel, but it did go over an important detail that's been on the community's mind; Player-versus-Player combat, and how it will be handled in the new area.
From the looks of the trailer, your covenant will decide whose side you will fight for in the upcoming DLC, and will influence the phantoms you will fight alongside. As of right now it is unknown if this is true or not; but it is now confirmed that players will be able to fight in organized teams against others in a dedicated arena.
The Ashes of Ariandel expansion will offer new weapons, armor, spells, enemies, lore, and challenges to be faced in the ruins of an old civilization.
