Dark Souls 3 will run at 60 FPS on PC according to a recent tweet from the game’s official Twitter account. There were rumours that the game would be locked at 30 FPS but this has now been cleared up.

The first game in the series has some issues on PC but the second game looked and ran a lot better. Bandai Namco and From Software have said that they put extra emphasis on the PC release for Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls 2 did however have a major glitch that caused weapons to be less durable due to the change in framerate.

As many Twitter users are pointing out, this announcement doesn't necessarily guarantee that the new game will be any better in practice, but it does at least acknowledge that developer From Software is concentrating on the issue and are trying to create the best possible experience.

The Dark Souls series has never been known for top of the line performance and graphics, and while Dark Souls 3 should be a step up, largely thanks to shifting to the newer generation of consoles, it might still require some fiddling to get it working in top form.

Dark Souls 3 is due to be released on April 12th
