CD Projekt Red has now answered a question that we’ve all had in mind: how long is the Cyberpunk 2077 story? Apparently, the narrative won’t be as long as the sprawling story of The Witcher 3, as the developer confirmed in a livestream. Speaking on Twitch, senior quest designer Patrick K. Mills said that they did “shorten the main story” of Cyberpunk. This was in response to “a lot of complaints” about the length of The Witcher 3.
However, this doesn’t mean there won’t be a lot to do in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Mills made clear that there is still “lots to do” in the huge world of Night City. From what we’ve seen so far in the Night City Wire podcast, there’s loads amount going on outside the Cyberpunk 2077 story. Even without a 25 hour epic, the game should still be hugely entertaining.
