Cuphead to Release Physical Editions

On the fifth anniversary of the platforming action game set in the world of a rubber hose cartoon, Cuphead is finally going physical. Studio MDHR is teaming up with iam8bit for the release and it will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Cuphead to Release Physical EditionsThe delightful run and gun action game, Cuphead is finally going physical. After five years of being exclusively digital, Studio MDHR announced a physical release to mark the anniversary. Cuphead received a somewhat physical release for the Xbox One back in 2017 but left fans disappointed when it turned out to be just a digital code inside the case, rather than a physical disc.

Studio MDHR partnered with iam8bit and will release Cuphead on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A release date and price have not yet been announced, though, via Twitter the studio promised the physical edition will be “coming soon“.

The release will come with the base game of Cuphead plus the additional long-awaited DLC “The Delicious Last Course“. The new DLC came with a whole new island to explore, the new playable character Ms Chalice, and numerous challenging boss fights to tackle.

This isn’t the first new piece of Cuphead content that we’ve had this year. Netflix’s second season of The Cuphead Show released in the summer. You can read our review of the second season here:
