Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a free to play, endless runner game that was once available on Android and iOS devices. It was first released back in March of 2021 and after less than two years of service, has officially announced it will be shutting down this February.
The announcement was shared on the game’s Facebook page along with dates and details of what’s to come. All in-app purchases had been turned off since December 19 2022, and players will have until February 16 2023 to make use of any and all purchases made prior.
The game is no longer listed on mobile storefronts, so only players who have maintained access to the app will be able to play until the service is terminated.

Fortunately, fans of the franchise will have something else to look forward to, as Activision has announced a brand new addition to the series. From the developers of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, comes Crash Team Rumble, a 4-v-4 team based online game. Players will be tasked with getting Wumpa fruit to a specified drop-off zone while defending their own. The game is set to release later this year and will be playable on PlayStation and Xbox.
