After various leaks and teases online, the Crash Bandicoot Mobile game has soft launched on Android devices. The new game is currently playable in certain regions. Though there is no official news from Activision or King, a full release is to be expected soon.
Crash Bandicoot Mobile is a runner in which you maneuver Crash by sliding your finger in different directions or by tapping the screen. Though it appears similar to runners we’ve seen in the past, King has added its unique spin to the formula by revolving gameplay around the Crash universe. The description in the store reads as followed:
In this new mobile episode, Dr Neo Cortex has dispatched mutagen henchmen across the multiverse to enslave all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex’s minions back to their own dimensions!
Crash Bandicoot Mobile will see the return of familiar faces such as N. Brio, Dingodile and Coco, who will feature as your companions while you attempt to take down Cortex once again. The game will contain 3 playable locations, including Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins. Players are required to go on runs, collect ingredients and “unlock key buildings to create an arsenal of weapons: serums, bombs and even rayguns.” If you’re intrigued as to how the game looks or will play out, be sure to check out the footage below as provided by OGL Gameplays.
Activision has seen much success with Crash Bandicoot titles, most notably with the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing. Along with the Crash Bandicoot Mobile title, many are expecting Crash Bandicoot to return with a new, full console experience.
