Crash Bandicoot 4 Demo Announced

There’s good news on the way for all Crash Bandicoot fans. A Crash Bandicoot 4 demo is coming next week, from September 16. Josh Nadelberg, from developers Toys for Bob, announced the demo on the PlayStation Blog. The demo is the same as the press release from a few weeks back, which had writers paying two levels from the middle of the game. The levels available will be Snow Way Out and Dino Dash, and it isn’t hard to guess what they’re about.

However, there’s a catch: this demo won’t be available to everyone. Although it will no longer be exclusive to the press, the Crash Bandicoot 4 demo will come with pre-orders of the game. So, if you want to get a feel the game before your order it … you’re in trouble. Plus, the demo is only for the digital edition. Now, this may be an issue for a lot of fans; but, at least we’ll get a bit more info on how the game plays outside of the press demo.

Iconic villain Dr. Neo Cortex will be playable in the demo

The PlayStation blog announcement also brought some news on the game’s characters. Players can use Neo Cortex, iconic series villain, in the Crash Bandicoot 4 demo. And, a new character for the game has been announced: Tawna, Crash’s former girlfriend from the first game. Tawna in this game is from a different reality, and is going to be a bit more of an action hero. She’ll have her own move set, making her another unique way to play. And she, like the other characters, won’t be hidden behind microtransactions.

If you want to take a look at some of the new Tawna gameplay, including her new character design and moves, we got a full reveal from the PlayStation YouTube channel. And, with lots of good-looking gameplay and some great first impressions already out, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is well on its way to being another classic.
