CoD: MW2’s Open Beta And Early Access Dates Announced With A Surprise Map: Marina Bay

A new multiplayer map, Marina Bay Grand Prix, was revealed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, along with open-beta and early access times. The game is planned to be released on October 28 and will be available for open beta on September 24-26.

As we are getting closer to the release of the game, Activision, the publisher, publishes new footage, videos, and content. According to the latest publication from Activision, CoD: Modern Warfare 2 turns a Formula 1 track into a battlefield.

Activision initially announced the sequel to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series in April this year. The release date for the new entry was set for October 28, 2022.

With the recent announcement, Activision announced the open beta and early access times for this new entry in the Call of Duty franchise. The early access version of the game will be available from September 16. But this date will be exclusive to PlayStation owners who pre-ordered CoD: MW2.

The open beta will start between September 18 and 20 for PlayStation owners. After two days of open beta period for PlayStation owners, the early access version will be available for Xbox and PC owners on September 22 and 23. At the end of the month, the game will become available for open beta tests for all platforms on September 24 and 26.

New Multiplayer Map: Marina Bay

Besides these open beta and early access dates, the game’s developer, Infinity Ward, unveiled a new multiplayer map called Marina Bay Grand Prix during the Call of Duty League finals on Sunday.

As the name suggests, the new map is set on a Formula 1 race track. The new map will take place on the Marina Bay track, where the Formula 1 Singapore GP is held and will bear the name “Marina Bay.”

No details have been given about the gameplay mechanics of this new map yet, but it is said that the map will appear in classic 6v6 matches. This new map is also going to be playable in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta version. However, as the developer stated, players will need to pre-order the game to get a chance to get early access to the beta.
