If you’re in the mood for something unique art-wise, then you’re in the right place. A tweet by a user named TAHK0 has picked up traction which showcased the art of Fantasian

Just as the tweet said, those are real screenshots from the game being made by Hironobu Sakaguchi’s team over at MISTWALKER. If you’re wondering how they achieved such a realistic look, it’s because all of those are miniatures of the backgrounds they intended for the game.

Sakaguchi himself also posted a video giving us a sneak peek as to how sets are made, needless to say, it requires delicate work. I just can’t imagine being that guy who accidentally destroys the set and pushes back the development because of a clumsy mistake.

Looks like a lot of work for a game, right? Seems like it since the game has been in development for the past 3 years and it’s just this year Mistwalker has announced that the game is coming over to Apple Arcade. Hironobu Sakaguchi has said in an interview that the game is slated for release this year, 2021. The game still doesn’t have its official trailer and not much is known about it except for the screenshots and concept art being posted by Sakaguchi and the official Mistwalker Twitter account. Here’s hoping that a trailer isn’t far off.
