It has been announced at today's Nintendo Direct that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, the criminally underappreciated adorable puzzle game that graced the Wii U in 2014, will be reaching the broad audience that it deserves when the captain waddles his way onto both Nintendo Switch and 3DS.
The game sees you interact with small, cube-shaped puzzle boxes, in which the titular Captain Toad must poke and prod every last corner in order to collect enough stars to save Toadette.
The Switch version will include a new multiplayer mode, in which one player plays as Captain Toad while the other can assist by doing things such as throwing turnips at enemies. The 3DS version will feature 3D visuals (not a given in this day and age) and touch controls.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will release simultaneously on Nintendo Switch and 3DS on July 13.
