Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Will Have A PlayStation Exclusive Mode

To the disappointment of Xbox and PC players, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Onslaught mode will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation platform. The recently announced mode will see you and a friend tackle waves of zombie enemies on existing multiplayer maps. Onslaught will not hit Xbox and PC till November 2021.

Like the Survival mode in Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature a timed exclusive mode for the PS4 & PS5. Onslaught is a wave-based two-player co-op zombie mode that takes place on the multiplayer maps in Black Ops Cold War.

The new mode will be exclusive to the PlayStation platform for a whole year before it hits Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on November 1, 2021. Just before the next Call of Duty will likely release!

Based on this initial reveal, Onslaught seems to share many similarities with its predecessor PlayStation exclusive mode survival. As the rounds progress, the zombie enemies will get tougher with surges including “elite enemies, more powerful adversaries compared to the regular zombified masses”.

Upon the completion of a game of Onslaught, players will earn either a bronze, silver, or gold ranking. This is based on the number of elite zombies you and your fellow teammate have taken down.

These ranks are important for out of Onslaught as players can unlock rewards across the two most popular modes in Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer and Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases on November 13 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
