Season Two in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will officially begin in-game next week on February 25th. The new season brings a whole host of new content to Cold War including a brand new Zombies experience. Here is a rundown on what you can expect:

First of all, Season Two will include four new operators. Naga will be unlockable on day one, with Maxis, Wolf, and Rivas coming later on in-season.

Six new weapons will be included in Season Two, all available via the battle pass and in-game challenges. The FARA 83 assault rifle – the Galil in older Call of duty titles – will be unlocked at tier 15 in the Battle Pass. The LC10 SMG will also be available on launch day at tier 31. Melee weapons the Machete, E-Tool, the R1 Shadowhunter special weapon and the ZRG 20mm sniper rifle will arrive in-season.

Now onto multiplayer maps, four will be available throughout the season – only one on launch day though. Apocalypse, a new 6v6 map adds to the roster next week. Golova (Multi-Team), Mansion (Gunfight & Face-Off) and Miami Strike – a daytime version of Miami will release at a later date.

Finally, for Multiplayer, new modes such as fan favourite Gun Game will be released, alongside the return of the Death Machine from Black Ops 2.

As for Zombies, the heavily rumoured Outbreak mode has officially been confirmed, coming at the start of the season next week. The next chapter of the Dark Aether storyline takes our heroes into the heart of Russia. Activision describes the new map as a “large-scale Zombies experience” so hopefully it will live up to that promise.

Activision says we should expect more info from Treyarch about Outbreak in the coming days.

And finally, Warzone. As expected with a new season, both Verdansk and Rebirth Island will have new points of interest. A new tanker ship will arrive in Verdansk, already seen off the coast ahead of its arrival next week.

Two new modes will be released for Warzone. Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme will playable on launch week, with Exfiltration in-season.

So that’s some of the new content that you can expect to play in Season Two! Let us know in the comments below what you think and if you will be playing next week.
