Activision, one of the important names in the video game industry, made a statement in 2019 and announced that a new Call of Duty game would be released every year. Keeping its word, the company has released a game for this series in the past years. As such, players began to wonder about the new Call of Duty game to be released in 2023.
Now, there has been a new development on the subject. The first leak about Call of Duty 2023 -the name of the game is not clear- came although within the scope of the claim. According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, sources have revealed that the 2023 COD game will be announced in early August. Unfortunately, more detailed information about this upcoming game is still unclear. It is also unclear whether there will be a COD NEXT-style special event, but as of now, it is believed that the new Call of Duty game will be announced around August 1.
However it is expected that the new game will appear either at a COD NEXT event or in the free survival game Call of Duty: Warzone, as was the case with Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard.
What will Call of Duty 2023 offer?
In previous reports, Jason Schreier from Bloomberg also stated that the game was developed by Sledgehammer Games.
It is not yet clear what the exact name of Call of Duty 2023 will be, but it is believed that the game will essentially be a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and can be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. However, we will have to wait for more definitive information on the subject.
