BloodRayne PC Remasters Coming This Month, Include 4K

Fans of 2000’s shooters have been given a late Halloween treat by Ziggurat Interactive, as new BloodRayne PC remasters are releasing this month. It will cover the first two games in the series, originally released in 2002 and 2004. These versions of the games will come under the name “Terminal Cuts”, and they’ll feature a load of new enhancements and updates to improve the games’ visuals and more. Among these changes is improved support for resolution (at up to 4K); players can now also enjoy better-looking textures, with new uncompressed textures. Moreover, cinematic videos are upscaled in this version. However, don’t expect a full revamp of the game’s visuals. These are enhanced editions, not remakes, so will game likely still shows its age.

For those that don’t know, these BloodRayne PC remasters will follow Rayne as she battles Nazis, supernatural creatures, and her fellow vampires. The original games received fairly good reviews when originally released; however, the series hasn’t had a new entry since the 2011 sidescroller BloodRayne: Betrayal. Because of that game’s poor sales, a 3DS game in the series never really left the ground. Yet, with Ziggurat Interactive recently purchasing the rights to the series, they plan on expanding the series in the future. These might be the first step in bringing back the series.

BloodRayne: Terminal Cuts and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cuts will be available on November 20, 2020. The remasters will release on Steam and GoG for purchase on PC.
