Ubisoft announced the long-awaited sequel to the 2003 Beyond Good and Evil game. The upcoming action adventure game is being directed by the franchise creator, Michel Ancel. The gaming world had known for quite some time that this sequel was in the works ever since Ubisoft unveiled it back in 2008. However, the game had been clearly going through a very troubled development cycle to the point that it was believed to be cancelled multiple times. The new trailers just below should put any such troubled thoughts to rest.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is actually a prequel to the original game. It takes place in a new solar system named System 3. It is an age of trade and colonization where piracy has run rampart. It was promised that the game would feature massive star-faring vessels and some form of space exploration alongside a vibrant crew. Also to be featured is a seamless online playground in some form of multiplayer. Unfortunately, no release date nor platforms were hinted for the game.
