For an indie game that was released two years ago to little or no attention, Among Us sales beating those of Star Wars: Squadrons, a triple-A, EA-published franchise spin-off, would have been hard to predict.
Reported by PC Games Insider, InnerSloth’s online multiplayer social deduction game continues to be leader of the Steam sales charts for the third week running. Whilst the pre-order edition of Star Wars: Squadrons is the second-best selling title of the week on Steam, the standard edition is in fifth place, also falling behind Phasmophobia and Valve Index VR Kit. No exact sales figures have been released, but it’s likely that Squadrons has slightly fallen under EA’s sales expectations.

Ending on the 3rd of October, the complete Top Ten in Steam sales for the week are as follows:
1. Among Us, Innersloth
2. Star Wars: Squadrons– Pre-order Edition, EA
3. Phasmophobia, Kinetic Games
4. Valve Index VR Kit, Valve
5. Star Wars: Squadrons, EA
6. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Devolver Digital
7. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar
8. Mafia: Definitive Edition, 2K Games
9. Spelunky 2, Mossmouth
10. Hades, Supergiant
Among Us sales continuously topping the charts follows InnerSloth’s recently cancelling Among Us 2, in favor of adding the sequel’s planned features to the original game instead due to the latter’s popularity. With the news of additional content coming to the gaming industry’s latest juggernaut best seller, Among Us may be a regular in Steam’s Top Ten.

Good to hear it’s beating SWS. That game is an overrated empty shell.
