Action-RPG Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin in Development by Team Ninja

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, a fantasy action role-playing game, is in development by Team Ninja. Official news came from Square Enix’s presentation, which shows a brief, almost three-minute video surrounding the game’s characters and gameplay.

Rumors about the game’s development predate the official announcement, however. There had been discussions on the internet pointing to Square Enix’s revelations for E3. Part of which, as confirmed by Fanbyte, involves the proclamation of the collaborative project with the Tecmo studio.

Known behind some of the most intense action games, such as Nioh, Team Ninja is creating an action RPG based on Final Fantasy. Stranger of Paradise is not any different, however, as it features high-octane combat and some flashy effects, similar to previous works.

As is true to Final Fantasy Origin, the developing title would gravitate towards the game’s known main antagonist, Chaos. The footage also shows the game’s protagonist, who eventually confronts the arch-villain in heavy combat, highlighting core gameplay mechanics.

More than just a short video, Square Enix is making the broadcast extra special by offering a playable demo. To be playable on the PlayStation 5, anyone can enjoy Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin until June 24, 2021.
