GTA 5 Top Mods
Open IV lives! With the survival of the popular GTA5 modding tool, it is more evident than ever what mods can mean for a game. We don’t support usage of mods or any type of modifications for the online portion of the game. But for people who play singleplayer only – mods are a great way to extend their playtime and keep coming back to a game that is 4 years away from its original release.

So without further ado, we bring you our list of top Grand Theft Auto 5 mods to spice up your game:

Authentic VEHICLE Pack 4.0

There is plenty of car packs out there, but this is the one we’ve been using. As the name suggests, it replaces almost every vehicle in the game with a real life one. Cars added range from everyday vehicles and compacts to supercars and concepts and they all behave as you would expect them to. They are also beautifully modeled with full interiors. Some cars are even customizable in the base game, others, only with the use of a special mod.

The textures of these vehicles are much more detailed and have higher resolution than vanilla ones and having a bunch of them onscreen at a busy intersection can take a few hits to your framerate so keep that in mind. The mod is very easy to install through the use of Open IV and is neatly packaged so you just download the huge file and let it do all the work for you.

Gang Hideouts

If you always wanted for GTA5 to feature more areas where you can experiment a bit with combat, stealth, and general mayhem – Gang Hideouts mod is for you. It expands the gangs of Los Santos with over 10 raidable strongholds which house a bunch of enemies for you to mow down.

lspd first response – play as a cop

This surprisingly meaty mod is true to its name. You can literally become a cop. This mod will enable you to go on patrols actually stop, identify and arrest citizens and take them to jail. You can take part in pursuits, ask for ID, call for backup and more.

Marlowe Valley Safehouse

GTA modding offers a lot of safe house mods but Marlowe Valley one takes the cake. It adds an enormous safehouse, including several helipads, a huge parking area for cars and motorcycles alongside a runway. You can store over 50 cars here, modify them. You can even enter the apartment and take part in a party that is banging in the garden area. It is all placed in the valley amidst a huge vineyard and looks phenomenal.

Menyoo and other trainers

Trainers are not technically mods but Menyoo could be considered one, considering a number of options it offers. It is essential in singleplayer whenever you want to start modding or just general goofing around. Menyoo trainer goes beyond an ordinary trainer that can give you invulnerability, unlimited ammo, money, and other basic stuff. It can also spawn and modify vehicles on the fly (even giving them weapons), change your character model and appearance, give you powers, assign bodyguards, change gravity, weather, time, teleport you around and much much, much more.

Redux, Photo Vision and Natural Vision

These mods add many layers of graphical upgrades to the game, all in their own way. Some aim for a bit more saturated and brighter summer feel, others for complete realism. They vary in FPS hits, Redux and Natural vision hitting the hardest, and Photo vision only having a low to moderate effect on your FPS. They combine many other tools such as ENB effects, illumination, blur, depth of field,  weather overhauls and even touch upon other aspects of the game that are not purely visual to give you a complete enhanced GTA package.

Superpower mods

Hop on over to GTAXScripting website to find some of the best superpower hero/villain mods out there. The mods there can give you all the powers of Iron Man, the Flash, Hulk, Ghost Rider, Green Goblin, Superman but also give you abilities akin to superpowers like Watch Dogs hacking, Crysis Nanosuit, and others.

You can have them all installed at the same time and they are amazing in their quality and attention to detail. Most of them will change your skin, give you all or the most prominent powers of the selected hero or villain, change your hud, adds effects and plenty more. Flash leaves a trail of lightning, Superman has heat vision and flies, Green Goblin glides on a flyer that shoots bombs, Ghost Rider summons a flaming motorcycle and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Be sure to check these mods out to give a totally new dimension to your GTA 5 experience.

CriminalsV and Online Random Events mod

Two mods that will add new activities to your game. Criminals V adds the possibility of robberies occurring across Los Santos, ranging from AI groups robbing small stores, banks and cash machines using a variety of vehicles, from regular ones to tanks. This mod synergizes great with previous ones, especially when using superheroes to stop these heists.

Online random events mod adds a bit of variety in random activities occurring in the world. These include crate drops, stopping armored trucks, smuggler vehicles, assassinations, gang meetings and more. All events include several variations that are also picked at random.

Map Editor

Other than being an essential mod for importing various other map mods, this mod enables you to free cam around and place any object anywhere in the world of GTA. This mod is responsible for some of the insane “ramp mods” you see floating around GTA modding sites, but can also be used much more creatively, enabling you to create your own game world.
