The Good Life features a large world for you to explore, with the town of Rainy Woods and beyond. Scattered across the map are shrines. These tall stone structures can prove to be very useful, saving you a lot of time travelling – for a modest fee. They can also be used to make offerings to cats and dogs, affecting your allegiance to either animal. This guide will list the names and locations of all 32 shrines in The Good Life.
Each shrine is named, usually after the area they’re in or a nearby landmark or location. Some shrines you cannot reach easily. You may have to open up a gate to get past. Opening gates costs £10. Also, some areas might be out of reach early on in the game’s story. Therefore, you’ll have to play through the story in order to reach all the shrines. Although the shrines are already marked on the map, you’ll get an idea of where exactly they are.

8. Deargshaw Forest Shrine
Deargshaw Forest is located south of Rainy Woods. To reach this shrine, you’ll need to turn off the main road onto the path that leads to the forest. You’ll know which path to head down as it has a sign saying “Deargshaw Forest”. Go down the path to the forest and keep heading south. It’s quite a big area, so you should think about riding a sheep to get through quicker. The path also disappears once you’re in the forest, so make sure you don’t lose your way.
Keep heading south through the forest towards the shrine icon on the map. You may come across some deer, which are quite large animals, but they should leave you alone if you leave them be. Once you break through the trees at the other end of the forest, the shrine should be straight ahead.
Since Deargshaw Forest is part of the area owned by Samuel S Bergman, you’ll need to play through Route A to access this shrine.
