Looking for how to get the Goooaaal! trophy or achievement in Resident Evil Village? There are lots of easily missed challenges in Capcom’s newest venture into gothic horror, and this is one of the easiest to miss but is thankfully just as easy to complete. This guide will cover how to move the ball from the Winters’ bedroom into the study and unlock the Goooaaal! achievement or trophy, depending on your platform.

At the very start of Village, Mia will ask Ethan to put Rose to bed. To do this, head upstairs and take a left when you get to the top, and make your way down that short corridor (you will know it’s the right one if Ethan says “nearly there” to Rose). You will see a bright yellow ball when entering the room and all you need to do is gently walk into the ball until it crosses the doorway into the study.

The study is the adjoining room that has Ethan’s laptop in it, not the dark, dank room at the opposite side of the house that I stupidly walked the ball to the first time. As soon as the ball crosses the door, you’ve completed Ethan’s short-lived football career. You can earn this accolade before or after putting Rose in her crib, but why not take the little tyke along for some quality father/daughter bonding time?

If the ball gets stuck, don’t panic, all you need to do is hit restart from the pause menu and you can try again.

You are now the proud owner of Goooaaal! bronze trophy or 15G achievement in Resident Evil Village. You will also earn 3000 CP. These are points that can be spent at the end of the game on things like infinite ammo and character models, so it’s well worth the small effort to earn this challenge.
