Sony announced both the price and the launch date for the PS5 in its press event today — which means it’s time to decide if it’s worth preordering or pushing it off. Probably the most important thing to consider is if there are any games being released at launch that you feel you can’t wait to play on next-gen graphics. There are quite a few games available for play at launch, but if you are waiting for heavy hitters like God of War 2 or Hogwarts Legacy, you can probably hold off till 2021. That being said, it’s likely this list will continue to grow as more game developers announce they will release PS5 ready versions of their game.

Good Lord, what awful Sony launch titles. The fact that they’re including Fortnite just shows what a sparsely populated launch it’s going to be. AC Valhalla will be a copy and paste of the last two AC games. Demon Souls is yet another remake. DMC5 isn’t even that old and was mediocre at best, and Miles Morales sounds like a short-lived spin-off. And that price tag – I’ll stick to my PS4.

I’m thinking about waiting until next year to upgrade, hopefully they will have some deals by then.
