Life Is Strange: True Colors Ending Guide CoverLife Is Strange: True Colors has, as fans of the series would expect, multiple endings and outcomes, all of which can be altered and impacted by the choices you make in the game. Of course, some of your actions make things better, and some can make situations worse than they originally were. And while there are many smaller moments throughout the game, ultimately there are six different endings for protagonist Alex Chen.  As this article will be discussing the final moments of the game, those who wish to avoid spoilers should read no further. However, for those who wish to know all, let’s dive right in.

Alex Stays in Haven

While three of the six final endings have Alex staying in Haven, this ending requires the player to have gone through the game without engaging in a romantic relationship with either of the game’s two options, Ryan and Steph. Therefore in this ending of the game, Alex stays put in the town on her own. Additionally, due to Steph’s decision to leave Haven, Alex then takes over the record store and manages that on her own.

Alex Seeks Adventure

Similar to the first ending, this outcome requires the player to also fly it solo and avoid romance throughout the game. However, rather than staying in Haven, Alex chooses to take to the road to pursue her music career. This ending can have a few small adjustments depending on how many people support Alex during the council vote at the end of chapter 5. If Charlotte, Pike, and Eleanor support her in this decision, they will also feature in this ending to bid her goodbye as she boards the bus. If Alex is unable to garner their support, she will simply leave on her own without bidding anyone farewell.

Alex Stays in Haven with Steph

This ending first of course requires the players to develop a romantic relationship with Steph throughout the game. Despite Steph’s admission in episode 4 that she plans to leave Haven Springs, she later announced to Alex that she is willing to stick around if it means getting to be with her. She even does this super cute romantic gesture of ripping up her bus ticket.

If the player chooses to remain in Haven Springs with Steph, the two work at the record store together, jamming out and goofing around the store and even performing together for the town.

The alternative ending you can get with Steph is her and Alex choosing to hit the road together. The two women journeying around playing music together and in the final moments of this ending, you see Steph encouraging her girlfriend Alex as she hits the stage to perform.

Alex Stays in Haven with Ryan

Similar to Alex’s endings with Steph, this ending and the one afterward require the player to choose a romantic relationship with Ryan. However, to ensure Alex and Ryan end up together, you have to make sure you either gain his support at the council vote or choose to forgive him afterward if he does side against Alex.

This ending sees Ryan take over the Black Lantern from his father. Similarly to when Alex chooses to stay in Haven on her own, in this ending she also takes over the record store after Steph leaves.

This ending actually sees all three characters leave Haven Springs. However, while Steph does her own thing, Alex and Ryan travel around together. While Ryan may not have the musical talent like Steph, he does support Alex as she plays solo.

I got the worst ending where no one supported Alex on the vote, so I decided to leave with steph as I feel there wasn’t much going for her in haven.
