How to get the Loch Ness Monster to Appear in Apex Legends

Apex Legends players have recently uncovered an easter egg that causes a giant Loch Ness Monster to appear in the water off the coast of the island. In order to see Nessie you’ll have to work with teammates and shoot a series of Loch Ness Monster plush toys around the map.

There are ten plushies spread across Apex Legends' map, and according to Youtuber Miguel Lozada, you’ll have to hit them in a specific order, so having a full squad will be helpful.

The plushies, and the order you’ll have to shoot them in, can be found in the map below. Nessie will rise out of the water off the coast near the final plush after it’s shot, then sink back down into the depths.

If you don’t want to take the time to find Nessie yourself, you can watch MCGzGhost and his squad successfully finding the easter egg on Twitch. Their squad may have been the first to discover the secret outside of those who worked on the game.

The discovery began after players began noticing the text “A Nessy Appears…” entering the game’s killfeed every once in a while. Turns out, each time a plush Nessie is shot this text appears. On Monday a Reddit user posted a screenshot of this text to the Apex Legends subreddit, asking what it meant, and a community manager from Respawn Entertainment vaguely replied with “Let’s just say someone is on to something…”

This isn’t the Loch Ness Monster’s first appearance in a Respawn game, with small statues of the mythical creature spread throughout both Titanfall games.
