Nod 1 A – Silencing Nikoomba

Nod 1 A – Silencing Nikoomba

Nod 1 A – Silencing Nikoomba

Mission: Eliminate Nikoomba, the leader of a nearby village.

Move your forces South till you reach the edge of the map, then proceed West. When you find the path, follow it North across the bridge where you’ll find the village.

Nikoomba is located on the other side of the village.

Nod 2 A – Liberation of Egypt (North)

Nod 2 A – Liberation of Egypt (North)

Nod 2 A – Liberation of Egypt (North)

Mission: Establish a base and eliminate the GDI presence.

Deploy your MCV and build a base. There is Tiberium for you to mine just above your starting location. Once you have a Hand of Nod can start training Minigunners, but your starting forces will be more than enough to finish the job.

You can use a Nod Buggy to do some quick scouting and reveal the map as they are quicker than the enemy soldiers.

The enemy base is located to the West with entrances to the North and South so you can select which side to attack from. There might still be a stray soldier running around somewhere, kill everyone.

Nod 2 B – Liberation of Egypt (South)

Nod 2 B – Liberation of Egypt (South)

Nod 2 B – Liberation of Egypt (South)

Mission: Establish a base and eliminate the GDI presence.

Deploy your MCV and build a base. Use a Nod Buggy to explore and locate the enemy base to the West.

Train a few Minigunners if you like but your starting forces should be sufficient. You can access the enemy base from the North or South, but since the entryways are so narrow you could consider splitting your forces to attack from both.

Kill all enemy units and structures.

Nod 3 A – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan East)

Nod 3 A – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan East)

Nod 3 A – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan East)

Mission: Capture the prison with an Engineer.

Build your base and train a few troops. The enemy base is located in the North-West with the prison in the corner.

Destroy the base but do not destroy the prison. Train an Engineer and send him into the prison to capture it.

Nod 3 B – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan West)

Nod 3 B – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan West)

Nod 3 B – Friends of the Brotherhood (Sudan West)

Mission: Capture the prison with an Engineer.

Build your base and train some infantry. You will receive several Engineers at the start so there’s no need to train more.

The enemy base is located in the North-West. There’s a Guard Tower inside the base, take out this tower before sending in your Engineers. Capture the prison with an Engineer, do not destroy it or you will fail the mission.

Nod 4 A – Convoy Interception

Nod 4 A – Convoy Interception

Nod 4 A – Convoy Interception

Mission: Destroy the civilian town and GDI base.

Move your forces South to the edge of the map. From here you can turn West towards the civilian town or East, then North towards the GDI base.

Destroy everything.

Nod 4 B – False Flag Operation

Nod 4 B – False Flag Operation

Nod 4 B – False Flag Operation

Mission: Destroy the enemy civilian village.

There are 2 villages in this mission. The one located South of your starting location is a friendly village.

The enemy village is in the North-West corner of the map but to reach it you’ll need to move South first until you find the friendly village, turn West, and finally North. Destroy the village and all GDI forces you encounter.

Nod 5 A – Grounded

Nod 5 A – Grounded

Nod 5 A – Grounded

Mission: Build SAM Sites to defend your base against GDI Air Strikes then destroy the enemy base.

Build your base and set up some SAM Sites. The Airstrip, despite what you might think, doesn’t provide you with aircraft but rather delivers ground vehicles. Build an Airstrip and call in for some Light Tanks and Nod Buggies.

The enemy base is located to the North, in the middle of the map, and is defended by 2 Guard Towers and a number of units but shouldn’t pose any real threat.

Leave a Nod Buggy or 2 at home to defend against some stray infantry who might find their way there.

Nod 6 A – Extract the Detonator (Ivory Coast)

Nod 6 A – Extract the Detonator (Ivory Coast)

Nod 6 A – Extract the Detonator (Ivory Coast)

Mission: Sneak into the GDI base using a small task force and steal the nuclear detonator. Move to the designated area for extraction.

Your forces are split into 2 groups so you’ll have to move them separately. The GDI base is located in the far East. Move your forces along the ridge until you reach it.

Your group to the right will enter the top of the enemy base and can destroy the Construction Yard without opposition. Your left group will enter the main entrance and will be met by Guard Towers and several tanks.

You will encounter a surprising number of enemy troops considering the small force you are given so you’ll have to be careful with your units.

You don’t need to destroy the base but I suggest taking out the unit production buildings to save yourself from further grief. The detonator is located in the lower East corner of the base, collect it, and move to the green flare in the South.

Nod 6 B – Extract the Detonator (Benin)

Nod 6 B – Extract the Detonator (Benin)

Nod 6 B – Extract the Detonator (Benin)

Mission: Sneak into the GDI base using a small task force and steal the nuclear detonator. Move to the designated area for extraction.

Move your forces South until you find the opening to the East. Carry on along the ridge until you reach the river, then proceed North.

Do not cross the first bridge as that leads to a dead-end, instead move further North and cross the second bridge. Move East into the enemy base and destroy the unit production buildings and Construction Yard, then collect the detonator and proceed South towards the green flare.

Nod 6 C – Extract the Detonator (Nigeria)

Nod 6 C – Extract the Detonator (Nigeria)

Nod 6 C – Extract the Detonator (Nigeria)

Mission: Sneak into the GDI base using a small task force and steal the nuclear detonator. Move to the designated area for extraction.

You will receive 2 Engineers in this mission. Move them behind your main force to keep them safe, although they don’t seem to have any specific purpose. You’ll also receive several Flamethrower Infantry which are very effective against infantry but note that they can kill your own troops too so be careful with them.

Move your forces to the North until you reach the end and proceed West. The enemy base is located just on the other side of the bridge. You can use your Engineers to capture enemy buildings like the Barracks while you fight the enemy troops.

Destroy or capture the unit production buildings and Construction Yard, collect the detonator, and move your troops South to the green flare.

Nod 7 A – Sick and Dying (Gabon)

Nod 7 A – Sick and Dying (Gabon)

Nod 7 A – Sick and Dying (Gabon)

Mission: Eliminate the civilian village and any GDI forces you encounter.

Move your forces North where you’ll find a broken Nod base. Repair it and build up your forces.

There are 2 villages located on this map, one to the far South, below your base. The other is to the South West.

Be aware that there is a GDI base just below the village to the South West and they will try and protect the village, although, they won’t pose too much resistance. Destroy the villages to complete the mission.

Nod 7 B – Sick and Dying (Cameroon)

Nod 7 B – Sick and Dying (Cameroon)

Nod 7 B – Sick and Dying (Cameroon)

Mission: Eliminate the civilian village and any GDI forces you encounter.

This mission is a bit more traditional than Nod 7 A. You start with a rather large force and an MCV. Deploy the MCV and build your base. Once you’ve expanded your army you can move them South across the river and East until you reach the enemy base.

They have a respectable amount of defenses, but even your starting force should be able to take this base out without much effort.

You don’t need to destroy the enemy base, just take out the unit production buildings and Construction Yard so it stops being a nuisance. The civilian town is located just North of the GDI base. Cross the bridge to get to the town and destroy everything.

Nod 7 C - Orca Heist

Nod 7 C – Orca Heist

Nod 7 C – Orca Heist

Mission: Capture the GDI Helipad and use their Orca aircraft to destroy the civilian village.

Your forces are split into 2 groups. The group on the right has a number of Engineers which you’ll use to capture the enemy base. This group can be moved directly South into the enemy base, just keep to the edge of the map.

The other group has to move West first until you reach the road, then follow that to the enemy. Take out the Guard Towers and units inside the base, then capture some buildings. My recommendation is to capture the Construction Yard, Refinery, Barrack, and Weapons Factory. You can then train additional Engineers to capture the rest.

Be sure not to destroy the Orca because the village is located across a river, inaccessible by your ground forces, and for some reason, you can’t build another one.

There is a GDI Gunboat patrolling the river. Take it out with your ground units to prevent it from shooting down your Orca, or you can just wait for it to patrol to the West before sending your Orca in.

This mission is somewhat tedious because you only get one Orca that keeps having to return to base for fresh ammo.

Nod 8 A – New Construction Options (Zaire West)

Nod 8 A – New Construction Options (Zaire West)

Nod 8 A – New Construction Options (Zaire West)

Mission: Capture the GDI base and use their own weapons against them.

Move your troops East where you’ll find a damaged Nod base. Once you do a Transport Helicopter will arrive. Sell your Construction Yard and train some Engineers with the funds. Load your troops into the Transport Helicopter and move them across the river to the West where the GDI base is revealed.

Capture the GDI base with your Engineers and build your forces. Remember to wait for the Tiberium Harvester to unload into the Refinery before sending your Engineer in, to make sure you capture both. Once you have a large enough force, send them to the North-East where you’ll find the enemy base.

Destroy everything.

Nod 8 B – New Construction Options (Zaire East)

Nod 8 B – New Construction Options (Zaire East)

Nod 8 B – New Construction Options (Zaire East)

Mission: Capture the GDI base and use their own weapons against them.

Move your forces East where you’ll find a broken Nod base. Sell your Construction Yard to get some funds and train some Engineers. A Transport Helicopter will appear to take your troops across the river to the GDI base in the South.

First, send some soldiers to clear out the enemy infantry before sending in your Engineers. Once safe, take your Engineers and capture the enemy base. Remember to wait for their Harvester to unload before capturing the Refinery so you get both.

The enemy base is located to the South-West but there are a number of troops roaming the map West of your base. To reach the enemy base you can either move South until you reach the river and West from there, or navigate the labyrinth of hills to the West until you reach the top of the enemy base. I would suggest using both routes since you’ll need to cross narrow bridges which is difficult with a large force.

Kill all GDI units and structures. Just watch out for the Gunboats patrolling the river, you’ll need to take them along with everything else.

Nod 9 A – No Mercy

Nod 9 A – No Mercy

Nod 9 A – No Mercy

Mission: Destroy all enemy units and structures.

You’ll start this mission with a Commando, a few infantry, and Engineers but they’re all scattered across the map. Select your Commando and move him South across the bridge, then West. Move slowly and take out the enemy soldiers you encounter along the way. You’ll be able to take 2 routes, choose the top one first as this will lead to your Rocket Infantry. Grab them and come back to take the lower Route which leads to your Engineers.

Clear the way until you reach your Engineers and move the entire group South until you reach a small GDI base that you can capture. This mission finally gives you access to the Flame Tank, these tanks are incredibly effective against infantry and buildings but they have a very short range so they are most efficiently used in small numbers. Also, take note that Flame Tanks will BBQ your own infantry if they get in the way.

The enemy base is located to the North-East and has a surprising number of defenses, including 3 Guard Towers and 2 Advanced Guard Towers along with numerous units, so make sure to take a sufficient force.

Nod 10 A – Doctor Wong

Nod 10 A – Doctor Wong

Nod 10 A – Doctor Wong

Mission: Find the GDI base and eliminate Doctor Wong.

Move your forces South across the bridge and through the civilian town, then East until you reach the edge of the map. From here you can move all the way to the North, turn West and go South as soon as you see a path, this will lead to the GDI base.

Take out the enemy base by blasting a hole through their walls to gain access. Keep the Commando safe since you will need him to complete the mission. Once the GDI base has been leveled, move further South and a Transport Helicopter will arrive to take the Commando across, just take out the enemy soldiers from across the river before you do.

Once the Commando is on the other side of the river, take out the Tech Center and kill Doctor Wong.

Nod 10 B – Belly of the Beast

Nod 10 B – Belly of the Beast

Nod 10 B – Belly of the Beast

Mission: Take a small force into the enemy base and destroy the factory and all tanks.

First, I would recommend setting your different units to different control groups, this makes it easier to move them around and get the right units into position. I set the Commando to 1, Rocket Infantry to 2, Artillery to 3, and Engineer to 4.

Send your Rocket Infantry to the East and take out the 2 Medium Tanks stations there. Take your Commando with them and take out the infantry who’ll show up a moment later. Keep following the path and you’ll find some more infantry and a Light Scout, use your Commando and Rocket Infantry respectively to take them out.

When you find the bridge to the North, you’ll see a Mammoth Tank patrolling, wait for it to move West before you cross the bridge. If you keep your distance you’ll be able to move behind it and eventually cross the next bridge south to get out of its way. There will be some Grenadiers on the hills on the way to the next bridge and a few Minigunners in your path which your Commando can dispatch of.

Cross the bridge and continue south until you see the enemy base. Keep to the Western side of the path and you might be able to avoid the Mammoth Tank completely. The base has 2 entrances, to the North and West. The Northern entrance is protected by 2 Guard Towers which you can take out from a distance with your Artillery but the Western entrance has no defenses so I’d recommend using that one.

Send your Commando into the base to kill all infantry and use your Rocket Infantry to destroy the 3 dormant Mammoth Tanks to complete the mission. Following these steps doesn’t require the use of the Artillery or Engineer so you can leave them behind if you like to make unit management easier.

Nod 11 A – Ezekiel’s Wheel (Namibia)

Nod 11 A – Ezekiel’s Wheel (Namibia)

Nod 11 A – Ezekiel’s Wheel (Namibia)

Mission: Capture the enemy base and take back the data they stole from you by capturing the Prison. Then wipe out the enemy presence from the area.

Your forces are split into 2 groups to the North-West and South-East corners of the map. Focus on the Southern group first to take out a few units patrolling that side of the map. Next, you can move them next to the river so they can take out the patrolling Gunboat. Finally, take them to the West. The enemy base is located just North of the river and you can use your Artillery to take out the base defenses and some units standing next to the river. You have superior range so you shouldn’t take any damage as long as you keep your distance.

As for your forces to the North. Use the Commando to kill the units standing on the bridge then move your Rocket Infantry and Minigunners across the bridge to take out a Medium Tank to the South-West. Then you can move South-East to the base you need to capture. Once you enter the base an Airstrike will arrive to kill your Commando. There’s nothing you can do about this, just make sure your other units aren’t anywhere near him.

The Tiberium is quite a distance from your base and the broken pathfinding mechanics have your Harvesters get lost every time so I would suggest getting your economy up and running as soon as possible or you’ll be waiting for funds way too often.

The newly acquired Stealth Tank is a useful scout since it cannot be detected until it starts attacking. Just note that the enemy Advanced Guard towers can detect these tanks so don’t send them into the enemy base thinking you’ll get the jump on them. Without their stealth mechanics, they function pretty much like expensive Attack Bikes so unless you’re planning to use them for some sort of ambush, I’d rather just build Light Tanks. Also, the transition sound when they become visible and invisible will drive you crazy.

Once you’ve built up your forces, move them to the North-East, and destroy the GDI base.

Nod 11 B - Ezekiel’s Wheel (Mozambique)

Nod 11 B – Ezekiel’s Wheel (Mozambique)

Nod 11 B – Ezekiel’s Wheel (Mozambique)

Mission: Capture the enemy base and take back the data they stole from you by capturing the Prison. Then wipe out the enemy presence from the area.

This mission is nearly identical to Nod 11 A, but I found Nod 11 B slightly easier. Please have a look at my instructions for Nod 11 A for some additional tips.

Your forces are split into 2 groups located North-West and South-East respectively. Use the Southern group to clear the area to the South of the river then move West so you can see the entrance to the enemy base. Use your Artillery to destroy the Guard Towers and make it easier for your other troops to access the base. You can then leave them stationed next to the river to take out the Gun Boat patrolling the waters.

Next, move your top forces to the South and capture the enemy base with your Engineers. The resistance is much less in this mission compared to Nod 11 A so you should have little trouble on your way.

The GDI base is located in the North-East. Once you’ve built up a large enough force, take it out.

Nod 12 A – Steal the Codes

Nod 12 A – Steal the Codes

Nod 12 A – Steal the Codes

Mission: Capture the GDI Advanced Communications Center.

Do not deploy your MCV just yet as there is no Tiberium nearby and the area around you is covered in hills. Move your forces to the West where you’ll find 2 Mammoth Tanks waiting on a bridge. Destroy these tanks and move across the bridge where you can start your base. The Tiberium field is located just North-West of the bridge.

The enemy base is located to the North-East of the map and they have some significant defenses set up so be careful. There are also a number of units camping outside the base. Take out all the threats before sending an Engineer to capture the Advanced Communications Center.

Nod 13 A – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa North)

Nod 13 A – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa North)

Nod 13 A – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa North)

Mission: Protect the Temple of Nod and destroy all enemy units and structures.

Move your MCV slightly South before deploying, there is a river above you with a patrolling Gunboat which will fire on your Construction Yard if you deploy it right there. This isn’t a major problem, just a nuisance you can avoid. There is another such Gunboat to the South.

To the West is a small GDI base that contains 4 Guard Towers, a Medium Tank, a few Light Scouts, and some infantry. There are no unit producing buildings so they can’t replenish their forces. Destroy this base but I recommend you capture the Silos as they are full of resources. On the other side of the base, across a bridge are 2 Transport Helicopters, capture these with Engineers.

You’ll need the Transport Helicopters to move your forces North across the river. A flare will appear, revealing some of the area. You can fly an Engineer there to capture the Power Plant located to the East of the flare, then build a new base on this part of the map.

If you decide to add a new Refinery here then make sure not to build it right next to the river. Your harvesters from the other side of the map will see that as the closest Refinery and will get extremely confused when they can’t unload there. Other than that, you just need an Airstrip here to build some more forces.

There is an enemy base to the North-West and North-East. Both have some heavy defenses so you’ll need a strong force to take them all out.

Nod 13 B – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa Center)

Nod 13 B – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa Center)

Nod 13 B – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa Center)

Mission: Protect the Temple of Nod and destroy all enemy units and structures.

Build your base but don’t bother building any vehicles since there are only a few units on your current island. You’ll want to train some Rocket Infantry to take out the Gunboat patrolling the river below you and then you can clear the island with your starting forces.

You’ll find a Transport Helicopter to the West, don’t destroy it, capture it with an Engineer so you can fly some troops to the other island, you can send them just South of your current base. As soon as you land on the second island, a new MCV will appear so you can start a second base.

There are 4 enemy bases located on this island. One, just to the South of where you built your second base, one to the far South, another to the South-East, and the last one to the West. There are some significant defenses to take out so be sure to build a strong force.

Keep an eye on your Harvesters because they keep wanting to unload at the Refineries across the river and then get stuck so you’ll have to do some micromanagement.

Nod 13 C – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa South)

Nod 13 C – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa South)

Nod 13 C – Cradle of my Temple (South Africa South)

Mission: Protect the Temple of Nod and destroy all enemy units and structures.

This one was trickier than its Nod 13 counterparts. Deploy your MCV and build a small base. You need a Refinery and Hand of Nod to train some troops. Use the Engineer you received to capture the Transport Helicopter nearby then fly some troops to the South. You’ll see a small piece of land sticking out where you can land.

To the East of this spot is a small GDI base with 2 Guard Towers and an Advanced Guard Tower. Destroy the towers and capture at least one of the other buildings so you can build another base here. I captured the Silos as that granted me their resources as well. While you’re clearing this base you can queue another Refinery so you can place it as soon as you’ve captured a building.

You will come under fire immediately so build another Hand of Nod and train some troops, and maybe add an Obelisk of Light if you can, this will help greatly.

At some point, an MCV arrived on the new island. I’m not sure why it didn’t arrive before as I assume this was supposed to be my primary method of building a second base, but here we are.

In the Name of Kane

In the Name of Kane

This mission suffers from the same problem as its counterparts in that your Harvesters get confused with the refineries on different islands. The first island only has a small amount of Tiberium so I suggest just selling the Refinery on that island to alleviate this problem.

There are 2 large enemy bases located to the South-West and North-East respectively, there is also a tiny base hiding in the South-East corner. Finally, there’s a civilian town to the East that comes up as enemy buildings on the map. For some reason, you need to destroy this town as well. You will meet considerable resistance so be sure to build a strong force.

Happy hunting.
