Kevin from Telltale has released details on how players can import their season 2 saves into A New Frontier to carry on from their previous choices. The season premieres on December 20th with two episodes and has recently received a new launch trailer.

The game will give you two choices on if you want to start a new story or continue your story from season 2.

A New Frontier: How to import your season 2 save games
If you choose to continue your story then you will have two choices:

  1. Story Generator: The game will ask you 42 questions that allows the game to work out the choices that you made as Clementine in Season 2. It will help the game to work out who Clementine was with at the end of your season 2 and her relationships with other characters.

  2. Import your season 2 gameTelltale said that there are two ways to do this.
    • If you are playing on the same device and you have your season 2 save file saved, then you can easily import your save. The game will ask you if you want to use your season 2 data when starting a new game in A New Frontier.
    • If you have your save file on a different device (e.g. you played season 2 on Xbox 360 but want to play A New Frontier on PS4) then you will have to go onto the device with your save file and upload your season 2 save file to the cloud. This will require a Telltale account. You will then need to go onto your device with A New Frontier, log into your Telltale account and download the save from the cloud.

If you haven't played Season 2 then you should choose to start a new story. This will start A New Frontier with a Clementine who has lost everyone from the previous Seasons and is alone with AJ.
