White Orchard is the map where Geralt of Rivia begins his quest to find Ciri in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Like all the other maps in the game, it includes numerous Places of Power that temporarily boost Geralt’s sign intensities. The most important reason to find Places of Power, however, is to receive the +1 Ability Point bonuses they provide when you first draw from them. You can gain six Ability Points by drawing from the POPs in White Orchard. This is where you can find all six Witcher 3 Places of Power in White Orchard.

In the Battlefield Location
On the far eastern side of the White Orchard map, you can find a Quen Place of Power. That POP is situated within the battlefield location where the Nilfgaardian and Temerian armies battled it out. It’s also right next to a ghoul monster nest. You can find it just east of Crackler Bridge and north of the Crossroads signpost, which are the two nearest named locations on the map.
The battlefield you’ll find this Place of Power at is also a great looting location. There are loads of corpses scattered across the battlefield to pick up loot from. As they’re soldiers’ bodies, you can pick up weapons and armor from them.
Outside the White Orchard Cemetery
This is a pretty easy Witcher 3 Place of Power in White Orchard to find. Just go to the White Orchard cemetery location shown directly below. That cemetery is situated just north of the named Mill signpost location in the northwestern quarter of the map. You’ll find an Igni Place of Power just in front of the cemetery.
In the Woods North of White Orchard Cemetery
This Place of Power is the most northern one on the map. When you’ve found the Place of Power at White Orchard’s cemetery, head in an almost direct northerly direction into the woods from there. In the woods location shown directly below, you’ll find an Aard POP from which to gain another Ability Point.
In the Woods South of Nilfgaardian Garrison
You can find this Place of Power a little south of the Nilfgaardian Garrison on the western side of the map. Head in a southeasterly direction from the garrison through a swampy area and then into the woods. There you’ll find an Axii POP and a few wolves to boot. You might also need to kill of a Wraith at this Place of Power’s location.
East of Abandoned Village
This Witcher 3 Place of Power in White Orchard lies directly east of the Abandoned Village location. Jump on Roach at that location, and ride in a straight east direction from that village to find the Yrden Place of Power shown directly below. Beware of the grizzly bear that roams around this POP.
Near the Abandoned Village
This Quen Place of Power can be found near the Abandoned Village and Griffin’s nest area from the Beast of White Orchard quest. If you go to the nearby Broken Bridge signpost and head directly south from there, you’ll surely find it. Alternatively, head in a slightly southwesterly direction from Abandoned Village to reach the map spot shown below.
It’s pretty easy to find those Witcher 3 Places of Power in White Orchard when you know where to look for them. If you frequently check the noticeboards at settlements, their locations will probably be marked on the map with question marks. With the six Ability Points those POPs provide, you can fully unlock level 3 Exploding and Active Shield abilities for the Quen sign, which are invaluable throughout the game.
