5 Places of Power in Witcher 3: Blood and Wine

Blood and Wine is one of two Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansion packs. The great thing about the Blood and Wine expansion is that it adds a whole new map to the game in the form of Toussaint. Toussaint is a duchy with scenic landscapes and mountain ranges ruled by the Palace of Beuclair. It’s a big map where you can find five Places of Power to amass more Ability Points with. Each POP will provide a +1 Ability Point bonus when you first draw from it. This is where you can find all the Places of Power in Witcher 3: Blood and Wine.

Fort Ussar Ruins

This Place of Power is within a cave at Fort Ussar Ruins on the far eastern side of the Toussaint map. Walk to the top of the Fort Ussar Ruin fortification, where you’ll find a few slyzards flying around. When you walk up to the open fireplace there, the Place of Power will become visible on the map. Stroll down the slope along the fortification’s cliff until you reach the cave’s entrance. You’ll find an Igni Place of Power within the small cave.

Termes Palace Ruins

To find this Place of Power, head to Termes Palace Ruins in the southeastern area of Toussaint. If you’ve never been there before, Termes Palace Ruins is near Gelenser Farm and Trastamara further south. When you’re at the ruins, walk down a staircase that leads to a window entrance.

Upon entering the ruins, you’ll hear a Place of Power humming behind a wall to the right of the entrance. Use your Aard sign to break through the cracked wall. Then you can draw from the Quen Place of Power behind the wall to get an Ability Point.

Near Arthach Palace Ruins

In the far north of Toussaint, there’s a Hanse base called Arthach Palace Ruins. You can find a Place of Power directly north of that location’s signpost at the spot shown directly below. The nearby Hanse outpost is crawling with bandits, but you don’t need to go there to reach this Place of Power. Just move directly north from the Arthach Palace Ruins signpost to find it.

If you fancy a big fight, you can also have a go at clearing out the nearby Hanse base as well. You can pick up tons of equipment to sell to blacksmiths and armorers from bandits you kill there. That’s also a location you’ll need to visit to complete the Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Feline Gear treasure hunt.

Inside a Cave Near Rioux-Cannes Outpost

You can find this Place of Power in a cave a little northeast of the abandoned Rioux-Cannes Outpost village on the western side of the map. To get there, head north from the Rioux-Cannes signpost to the cave entrance shown directly below. Then have a very good look through all areas of that cave to find the Place of Power. As the cave isn’t that big, it’s not that hard to find it down there.
