Though there's still an epilogue, side stories, and the expected follow-up about his son still to be released, Thursday marked the 699th episode of the Naruto/Naruto Shippuden anime and the conclusion of Naruto's original story. The staff of the series got together to laugh and cry about this milestone and some share some art as a tribute:
New themes coming this month include Anly's "Empty Song" for the opening and idol unit Ayumikurikamaki ending "Departure Song."
In the winter, the TV anime will be adapting the 2015 novels Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding, Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness and Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise. In between, of course, will be new themes as well.
