Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed new looks into the .hack//G.U. trilogy remaster set for release on PlayStation 4 and PC later this year, specifically the title's new Volume 4 set to continue after the events of the first three games.
Spoilers ahead, so be warned!
The premise of Volume 4 revolves around protagonist Haseo logging back onto The World R:2 for the first time in eighteen months in order to rescue Ovan from an icy prison. With the MMORPG shutting down in just a couple of days, he has to venture with his returning friends from the Canard guild in order to save Ovan before servers are closed for good.
Apparently a new character by the name of Kusabira – who holds a lot of significance in the games story – will join Haseo's party. We as fans also get a closer look at the protagonist's newest fifth form as well and its badass, to say the least.
