According to a thread posted on Chinese blogging site Weibo, a poll held by Japanese magazine Dengeki has revealed that their reader base is anticipating Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III more than games like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Though strange considering the international recognition each Square Enix title has, it is understandable considering how far away each game is from launch. If anything, it may just exhibit how knowledgeable Dengeki's readership is of the industry.
A purported screenshot from the magazine can be found below:
Dragon Quest XI is third on the list, followed by Omega Labyrinth Z and Gun Gun Pixels in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Kingdom Hearts 3 comes in sixth, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age rounds out the list in seventh place.
As interesting as this may all be, it's important to note that these numbers aren't indicative of Japan has a whole, and only represent those Dengeki readers that contributed to the poll.
Despite this, what do you think of the ranking? How would the polls be different if it were an American audience? Would any JRPG be on the list? Let us know in the comments below!
