Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Release Date Announced

The all-star Final Fantasy fighting game's North American release date, box art, special editions and season pass were all announced today courtesy of publisher Square Enix.

The highly fan-anticipated brawler Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's North American release date has been announced courtesy of publisher Square Enix today. The game will release early next year on January 30, 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Additionally, special editions of the title were also announced. Pictured below, the Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be exclusive to the Square Enix store, will cost $189.99, and it will include a Warrior of Light bust figure (8.25” tall), an official soundtrack with 15 tracks and newly recorded music, a 80-page hardback art book, a season pass that gives access to six new playable characters and content post launch, a steel book case unique to the edition and special packaging.

The Digital Day One Edition of the game will include a Nameless Warrior DLC and a mini soundtrack whereas the Digital Deluxe Edition will come with everything in the former edition, plus the game's season pass. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's season pass will include six additional playable characters, two color variations and two additional weapons for each.

Lastly, the Steelbook Brawler Edition will be given out for free to fans who pre-order at participating retailers. For the price of the standard edition, or $59.99, they'll be able to get one of three steel book designs at random.

  1. January ? I thought he would come a little later curiously! But I’m very disappointed with this season pass …The season pass is already in itself a horror, but the genre of the fighting game is unfortunately most affected by this practice … It is extremely important to ‘have all the characters playable in a fighting game.
