Live from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia…the crowd inside the arena for the event, Night of Champions, was having a blast as feuds took twists and turns throughout the show. The Brock vs. Cody match showed grit and heart, but there were also some other great and exciting moments from the card. Here are my opinions of moments at WWE Night of Champions that stood out.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins Wins The World Heavyweight Championship
The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, and The Visionary, Seth Rollins, went toe to toe for the newly created World Heavyweight Championship introduced to the WWE Universe by Triple H. The match was fast-paced and entertaining. A lot of counters were displayed in this bout between two worthy competitors to hold an entire brand on their shoulders. These two gave it their all during the match, and were getting a well-deserved “This is awesome!” chant from the crowd inside the arena in Saudi Arabia. At the end of it all, however, Seth Rollins edged out a victory over AJ Styles…thus, becoming the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion in the process. He was even presented and congratulated with the gold by Triple H.

The Implosion Of The Bloodline
After Roman Reigns said that he and Solo Sikoa was going to handle the current tag team champs, Kevin and Sami, the Usos were thought to not be in the equation at Night of Champions. However, in a twist of fate, they showed up during the match between the tribal chief and Solo versus Owens and Zayn. What seemed to be their way of trying to help during the chaotic tag team match by stopping KO from putting Roman Reigns through the announce booth…ended up being a further breakdown in the once indestructible faction.
They both gave a superkick to Solo, accidentally, which didn’t sit well with Roman Reigns. Who proceeded to push the two Usos, and barking at them to exit the ring at once. For months, everyone assumed that if one of the members was going to have enough and destructively leave the faction…it was going to be Jey that carried that baton. However, it was in fact Jimmy that deliberately put not one but two superkicks onto Roman Reigns’ skull. Leaving Jey speechless, the two former tag team champs left the ring. Everything seemed to go at a slow surreal pace at the end of the show when it came to the members of The Bloodline.

Zoey Stark Aligns Herself with Trish Stratus
In what was the shocker of the evening…Newcomer, and newly acquired member of the main roster via the Draft, Zoey Stark, helped the legend Trish Stratus pick up a victory in her bout against The Man Becky Lynch. The two women fought valiantly throughout the contest, and even Becky placed Trish in her submission hold during the match…but it was Zoey Stark that decided to help Trish Stratus by coming out from underneath the ring, and delivering an attack on Becky Lynch that allowed Trish to pick up the win.

Mist To The Rescue
Bianca Belair put her championship on the line against the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, in what was a barn burner of a match. Both dished out and received their share of blows throughout this encounter but at the end of the day…Asuka would pick up the victory due to the fact that she had a little bit of assistance in the form of a mist-like substance that she raked across the eyes of Belair to cause her vision to be impaired temporarily, thus obtaining the win. With this victory comes the fact that Asuka is now a champion.
