2023 WWE Payback Event – 5 Predictions

Here are my five predictions that might occur at WWE Payback. The live event is just around the corner, and everyone is watching their backs when it comes to their respective feuds. The event takes place on September 2nd, 2023, in Pittsburgh. The biggest X-Factor of the night will be what will Jey Uso do now that he quit the WWE.
2023 WWE Payback Event – 5 Predictions
Our next stop on the WWE Live Event calendar has us going to Pittsburgh. On September 2nd, 2023, the WWE will be in Pennsylvania for Payback. The already problematic situations from the previous event, SummerSlam, seems to be still in the air for the most part. The Bloodline still is in a chaotic mess since SummerSlam, seeing one of their tribal members, Jey Uso, actually leave the WWE rather than dealing with the turmoil of his once solid stable. Here are five predictions that might go down at WWE Payback.

Becky Lynch Defeats Trish Status Inside a Cage

One of the hardest-fought battles we’ve seen as of late has come down between Becky and Trish. A lot of it, however, has come away from the ring itself. On one side, you have the veteran trying to remind everyone who she is… and on the other side, you have someone trying to tell everyone that she is the current face of the division. Neither side wants to blink. I believe that Becky Lynch will find a way to defeat Trish Stratus because the steel cage match is one of the types of matches that symbolizes the end of a feud. So, that is the major reason I’m going with Trish losing. This, in my opinion, will get Trish’s protégée, Zoey Stark, in the mix and begin a feud with Becky Lynch.

Seth Rollins Wins Against Nakamura

After turning his back on everyone, Nakamura attacked Seth Rollins to get his attention…and he did. Nakamura is the next person to challenge The Visionary for the World Championship. Even though Nakamura seems more focused than before, this will not be an easy task for him. To try to get into Seth’s head, Nakamura whispered to Mr. Rollins that he was aware of the back problems that Seth had four years ago. Regardless of this, I believe that Seth Rollins will win. Cause now he has the extra motivation to prove he’s still got what it takes to win matches.

Rhea Ripley Wins Against Raquel Rodriguez

Having recently fooled Rhea into thinking she was still injured, Raquel challenged Ripley to a match at Payback. This will be a battle between two powerhouses. The only reason I’m going with Rhea to win the match is because there is power in numbers. Rhea always has The Judgment Day lurking around to assist her. I believe this is the reason why she will win. And as a result, will continue to be the Women’s World Champion.

Rey Defeats Theory

The tensions in this encounter are real. Rey as a member of the LWO wants to showcase his skills in the ring to keep the title that he recently took from Austin Theory. I believe that this match will be a competitive one, but I’m strictly going with Rey Mysterio to win the bout for what is behind Austin Theory. And that is a teacher Vs. student-level match waiting for Rey and Santos. So, even though Austin Theory makes for a good mid-card champion, it’s not necessarily about him. It’s about Rey passing the torch to Santos by losing the title to him.

LA Knight Wins Against The Miz

The Miz is not letting up on his claim that the rookies have to show the veterans in the locker room some respect. As much as The Miz needs a victory in a bad way, I believe that his best days are behind him, and he will come up short during this match. So, with that, I’m going with Knight beating The Miz. Where this leaves The Miz is anyone’s guess. Perhaps this could lead to future matches between the two down the road. Or The Miz simply goes on to compete against another opponent. Regardless, I’m going with LA Knight to win at Payback
