Things are about to go down in a big way at WWE Night of Champions, coming to us live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27th, 2023. This promises to be the barn burner we all expect it to be. With that being said, here is what I think might happen at the event in terms of the matches that are being showcased in Saudi that night.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. AJ Styles
With The Visionary really wanting to prove himself that he can go the distance and win, not just gold, but world gold…he must first need to get past AJ Styles to achieve this. AJ Styles is no joke, however, as he has proven he can also put an entire brand on his back and run down to the end zone with it (as is the case when he was with TNA.) I think that Seth “Freakin” Rollins has been eyeballing this new world heavyweight title for way too long to not get the job done, however, so I’m going with Seth to win the match against AJ Styles at Night of Champions. Thus, being the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion.
Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
Ever since the backstabbing that Cody Rhodes suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar on Raw…Cody has been trying to shake off The Beast, and his vicious attacks since that time. I think because this event is scheduled to be where all titles are on the line, and this is a non-title match, we might see either a conclusion or pretty close to one between these two at the show. All signs point to Cody Rhodes squeaking out a victory over the much stronger and more powerful Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions…so I’m going with Cody Rhodes to win, but at the same time, if he does…we all know he earned it.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa)
The newly crowned Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to getting away from The Bloodline. Having beaten the tag team in the faction, the Usos, on two different occasions…the tag team champs find themselves going up this time against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. What will happen? I’m going with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn winning, and one of them pinning Solo when it is all said and done. Hopefully, this draws this feud closer to a conclusion. Because Sami has been dealing with The Bloodline for over a year, and Kevin Owens has a couple of years under his belt.
Gunther vs. Mustafa Ali
After winning the battle royal on Raw, Mustafa Ali punched his ticket to face off against Gunther at Night of Champions for the Intercontinental Championship. I don’t see Mustafa Ali beating The Ring General in this bout. Mustafa Ali winning the battle royal is in of itself a feat to be proud of. However, I think that Gunther will not only beat Mustafa Ali but beat him quickly and unquestionably inside the arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Becky Lynch Wants Trish Stratus
Even though, as of right now, this match hasn’t been officially made, I’m putting it down as almost confirmed to occur at Night of Champions. Last night, on Raw, Becky Lynch called out the trailblazer Trish Stratus to settle some unfinished business at the event. I can’t see Trish Stratus turning down such a challenge. So, if this match does indeed happen at Night of Champions, I’m going with Becky Lynch to win it. Because she has more to prove than Trish Stratus does at the end of the day. Trish is a HOFer and came back after having a successful career. The Man of the people still has to get the job done, and she knows it.
There are my predictions as to what will happen at Night of Champions.
