The first month of 2023 has come to a close, providing us gamers with a few hits and misses. Now February is now upon us, bringing a packed month of new releases. Last year February was a big month, giving us hits like Dying Light 2, Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring. This month could be a repeat with a large number of anticipated releases from some of the industry’s most renowned studios. There are plenty of games to look out for in February, we’ve picked out ten for your consideration.
Deliver Us Mars
Starting February’s lineup is Deliver Us Mars, the sequel to Keoken Interactive’s award-winning sci-fi adventure game, Deliver Us The Moon. Explore new frontiers on a suspense-fuelled, high-stakes mission to recover the ARK colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward. Deliver Us Mars is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure game that is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2nd.
Deliver Us Mars takes place ten years after the Fortuna mission. After a mysterious distress call from Mars, Earth’s youngest astronaut Kathy Johanson joins the Zephyr and its crew on one last mission. Board the Zephyr as you journey from Earth to the surface of Mars. Traverse and endure its harsh and unforgiving terrain using both brains and brawn to overcome mental and physical challenges. Experience Deliver Us Mars‘s emotionally fuelled narrative with engaging gameplay. Every moment is handcrafted in bringing a suspenseful narrative alongside music from award-winning composer Sander Van Zanten. Alongside the gameplay, Deliver Us Mars uses state-of-the-art motion capture containing stunning graphics and real-time ray-traced shadows and reflections, all powered by Unreal Engine.
Next up is the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy, an immersive, open-world action RPG that delves into a never before seen era of the wizarding world. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros, become your own customisable witch or wizard in a new adventure, set in the world first introduced in the world of Harry Potter. Hogwarts Legacy releases on February 10th (February 7th for Deluxe Edition owners) for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4th, and for Nintendo Switch on July 25th.

From the makers of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, experience a new hybrid slasher/shooter in Wanted: Dead. Follow the adventures of an elite squad taking on corruption in a new third-person adventure. Wanted: Dead releases on February 14th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Play as Lt. Hannah Stone, a member of the Zombie Unit, an elite Hong Kong police squad. They’re tasked with cleaning up the city from all forms of criminal factions, all while uncovering a major corporate conspiracy. Wanted: Dead supplies players with a wide range of deadly moves, over 50 brutal finishers, and advanced cyberpunk weaponry. Battle inside and outside using a curated selection of guns from the classic assault rifle to the explosive grenade launcher.
Wanted: Dead brings a truly hardcore experience that mimics the PS2-era’s experimental titles. Challenging fights are ahead, steel your resolve and use every tactic to your advantage. Battle through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics and private security forces in classic hack n slash gameplay. Relive the ways of the old school beat ’em ups in a twist on the established genre.
The next game coming this month is EA’s next game in their EA Original program, Wild Hearts, a unique twist on the hunting genre. Begin an epic adventure in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan on February 16th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Developed by Omega Force, the Japanese studio behind the Dynasty Warriors franchise and in partnership with EA Originals, Wild Hearts takes you on an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan. Hunt down giant beasts infused by nature, survive their ferocious attacks and learn from their behaviours. Use an assortment of weapons from the beasts you defeat to progress through the adventure to take on deadlier creatures. Wield ancient technology known as Karakuri, enabling players to adapt their environment into a fatal hunting ground.
Go at the Kemono as either a lone wolf or unite with up to two players to form a pack to stalk and hunt your prey. Create your own customisable character with numerous weapons and armour created from the beasts slain. Explore a fantasy version of feudal Japan where each hunting ground is based on each of the four seasons. Form your hunting pack this February in an epic new adventure.
Like a Dragon: Ishin!
Next up is a remake of the samurai spin-off of the Yakuza series, Like a Dragon: Ishin! Return to 18th-century Japan where characters from the Yakuza franchise, take on new roles set in the chaotic Bakumatsu phase of the Edo period. Like a Dragon: Ishin! releases on February 21st for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Play as Sakamoto Ryōma, a samurai on a path of revenge against a mysterious assassin who murdered his mentor. In order to discover who the killer is, Ryōma infiltrates the grim Shinsengumi. In addition, several characters of the game are also recast with new actors, who have previously portrayed other characters in the mainline titles, notably from Yakuza 0, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The game features an open world focusing on a powerful feudal domain and castle town in east Japan, Tosa, and Japan’s capital city at the time Kyo.
The remake of Ishin! retains most of the gameplay system from the original game, with the exception of the Trooper Cards which can now be used in regular combat. Ishin! utilizes a robust combat system similar to past Yakuza games, with four unique fighting styles. Use the Swordsman class to wield a katana as your primary weapon. The Gunslinger class lets you take out a pistol, the Brawler class is all about hand-to-hand combat. Finally, the Wild Dancer class uses a combination of both sword and gunplay. Alongside the serious narrative, Ishin! is full of minigames like Karaoke, chicken races, a fighting arena, and many more.
Finally going gold and releasing this month, Atomic Heart is finally gracing our game libraries. The first-person shooter set in a mad and sublime utopian world is set for release on February 21st for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

PlayStation will be releasing its newest generation of virtual reality in February, this includes an array of launch titles. One such launch title is Horizon: Call of the Mountain, releasing February 22nd for the PlayStation VR2.

Blood Bowl 3
Brutal, crazy, tactical… this is BLOOD BOWL! The iconic death sport returns in Blood Bowl 3, releasing on February 23rd on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Blood Bowl 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Blood Bowl is back, the Warhammer spin-off return for a third instalment, promising more chaos and bloodshed on the pitch. and faithfully using the latest board game rules and new content. Take charge of a team from amongst the 12 available races, each with unique characteristics, and stop your opponents from advancing by carefully positioning your players. Now for something vicious, the sequel to the acclaimed survival game, The Forest will be landing this February. Sons of the Forest is the next entry in cooperative survival horror and releases for PC on February 23rd.

Finally, the brand-new entry in the Octopath Traveler series will be gracing us this month. The story takes place in Solistia, a land comprising an eastern and western continent divided by the sea. Octopather Traveler 2 releases on February 24th for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
In a bustling era, wherein large vessels navigate busy sea routes and the power of steam gives birth to new technologies. In this faraway realm, eight travellers hailing from different regions venture forth for their own reasons. Step into their shoes and explore the land as you see fit, using their unique talents to aid you along your journey. Octopath Traveller 2‘s staple HD-2D graphics returns, reaching even greater heights.
Familiar mechanics from the original game have been preserved, like the freedom to develop your traveller’s jobs and skills, as well as the Break and Boost system that made battles so exhilarating. Each traveller has a unique set of Path Actions they can use to battle townspeople, obtain items, and take others along in their travels. Where will you go? What will you do?
