July is my favourite month of the year. It brings with it many things, barbeques, blistering sunshine, vacations, etc. It’s a month that is typically a quiet time for video game releases, but not this year. There are plenty of new experiences, as well as some old ones, to keep you entertained all month long. Here are four games releasing in July that deserve your attention.
July 3rd – Marvel’s Iron Man VR
Those looking to dust off their PlayStation VR can do so in style with Marvel’s Iron Man VR. Featuring an original adventure, suit up as the armoured Avenger himself in what is sure to be among the most exhilarating experiences available on current Virtual Reality hardware. After many years of crime-fighting, Tony is attacked by Ghost, a mysterious hacker out to topple everything Stark has built.
July 10th – F1 2020
Many sports are only just returning to our screens, but there’s no need to go without. The latest in the Formula 1 franchise releases this month, brings the same intense racing as always. Embody your favourite drivers from Lewis Hammond to Danial Riccardo. Create your own team and live out your own ten-year career mode, going from novice to racing legend.
July 17th – Ghost of Tsushima
At some point, everyone has wanted to be a samurai. The PS4’s next (and presumably last) exclusive intends to provide as close to an authentic samurai experience possible in a digital format. Developed by Sucker Punch, Ghost of Tsushima tells the story of Jin, a young man living through the Mongol invasion of his island home. Forced to free his people from tyranny, Jin must embrace his ancient warrior heritage, while developing the way of the Ghost. There’s a lot of anticipation around this title, so we can’t wait to explore this unique game.
July 28th – Destroy All Humans!
This year’s streak of remakes and remasters continues with this cult classic. Destroy All Humans puts you in the boots of everyone’s favourite Jack Nicholson impersonating alien, Crypto 137. Explore and eviscerate small-town America with a variety of insane weapons and your flying saucer in this irreverent critique of 1950’s American culture, society and politics. Many have waited a long time to see a return for the franchise, so don’t miss out on this stratospherically fun game.
What Will You Be Playing?
