The first reactions currently overflowing Twitter promise a ‘mind-blowing’, ‘transportive’ and ‘breathtaking’ experience that does not follow the mainstream. The futuristic detective drama even reportedly makes the Star Wars cinematic latest look like ‘action LEGO movies’.
The original Blade Runner (1982) follows the story of Rick Deckard, an ex-cop in the line of tracking and eliminating rebellious androids. The upcoming sequel’s new protagonist, detective K, is facing his own challenges and mysteries, coming across a secret that could tremendously change the world order. As follows, he seeks Deckard’s help.
Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival), with the script by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Ridley Scott as an executive producer. The movie is to hit big screens on the 5th of October, 2017. Make sure to check out the trailer below.
