Hearthstone is a collectible card game that enthralls millions of players the world over. To keep the game fresh, Blizzard usually releases new Hearthstone expansions each year. Those expansions introduce whole new card sets and single player campaigns. Now Blizzard has just revealed all the cards for the upcoming Rise of Shadows expansion, which rolls out on April 9.

Blizzard has gradually been unveiling the new Rise of Shadows cards with livestreams. The most recent livestream revealed all the remaining cards. That livestream showed off 28 new cards, which completed the full set of 135 from the Rise of Shadows expansion.

Rise of Shadows stars the Arch-Thief Rafaam who realizes he needs a little help to conquer Azeroth after his defeat from the League of Explorers. The Rafaam card is a Warlock-class 7/8 minion, with Taunt, that players can play for eight mana. Rafaam has a Battlecry that replaces all the cards in your deck and hand with random legendary minions.

Rise of Shadows will also introduce new types of spell cards to Hearthstone. The new deck set includes several Twinspell cards, such as Blessing of the Ancients, The Forest’s Aid, and Unleash the Beast. Those are cards that add an additional copy of the spell cast to your hand. In addition, players can play five alternative Scheme spell cards that grow stronger the longer they are kept in hands.

Lackeys are another new addition to Hearthstone from the Rise of Shadows expansion. Those are uncollectable one-mana minions generated by playing other cards. The Lackeys have strong Battlecry effects. For example, Goblin Lackey has a Battlecry that gives another minion +1 attack and Rush.

Blizzard will also rotate a few deck sets out of Standard format to make way for the new arrival and mark the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. Frozen Throne, Journey to Un’Goro, and Kobolds and Catacombs are three 2017 card sets that will disappear from Standard format after the Rise of Shadows update. Thus, players will lose some great cards from their Standard decks, such as Deathstalker, the Lich King, Bloodreaver Gul’dan, Carnivorous Cube, and Vilespine Slayer.

However, the Rise of Shadows set includes quite a few exciting cards to fill the void. It will be the eleventh Hearthstone expansion when it releases April 9. For further Rise of Shadows card details, check out the Hearthstone website.
