Turtle Rock Studios Announce Back 4 Blood, co-op Zombie FPS
Turtle Rock Studios have announced they're working on a brand new zombie FPS game titled "Back 4 Blood." Unfortunately, details are a little scarce right now, other than what they've shared in an FAQ on their website.

What is Back 4 Blood?

Back 4 Blood is a co-op zombie FPS with new features we aren’t ready to talk about just yet, but keep your eyes peeled for all news on our official Discord

The FAQ also states that Back 4 Blood is aiming to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at first, but other platforms "aren’t out of the question though." They've also confirmed the game will have a campaign and PVP modes. On the topic of post-launch support, this is what Turtle Rock had to say.

Right now, we’re focusing on making the best, most fun and exciting game we can. We’ll figure out the post-launch stuff later, but if we do have paid post-launch content, like microtransactions, we want to do something that the community feels good about.

At the end of the post, they answered why they're announcing the game now with the intention of trying to attract new people to join the company.

Back 4 Blood is a hugely ambitious project and we need the best of the best to come join us. As an independent studio, we have to announce early to let our industry know we’re up to something big.

So Back 4 Blood is a thing, I guess? It's still somewhat exciting to hear though since Turtle Rock Studios were the original developers of Left 4 Dead. The FAQ gives off the impression that Back 4 Blood will most likely be the closest we'll ever get to a Left 4 Dead 3 since Valve seems uninterested in making further sequels.

Rate the game!
