Friday the 13th: The Game is making its way to the Nintendo Switch sometime this spring, according to a report from Variety.
The game, based on the 1980's slasher film, originally released in 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version will reportedly include all of the downloadable content that’s been released for the title, except for some items exclusive to Kickstarter backers.
Players shouldn’t expect more DLC anytime soon, however, as the game’s publisher, Gun Media, is in the midst of a legal battle with the movie’s original screenwriter, who is trying to reclaim the rights to the franchise’s characters.
Despite this, Gun Media is excited to get the game onto another platform. “The Nintendo Switch offers a unique experience, in both social settings and on the go, that we feel work very well with Friday the 13th: The Game,” Gun Media Director of Communications, Daniel Nixon, said to Variety.
If you’re also excited about experiencing Friday the 13th:The Game on the go, this Spring release may be for you.
